Ahh. . . the good ol' home sweet home

So, I decided that I would undertake the rather daunting task of painting the exterior of my home. Well, everything but the brick. This all began last weekend with a powerwashing party of one it he drizzling rain. Fun, let me tell you. Then on to scraping and sanding, putty and filling, priming and painting. I honestly said to my self, what the heck am I thinking. I really should hire this out. Too bad I don't have the cash for that. Anyway, so there I am, at 7am on a Saturday moring, laying backwards on a latter that is precariouly propped agaings my brink, painting away at the underside of the eaves. Not the most fun thing I've every done, but at least I can say, "I've done that!"

Well, two hard days and a "forget this" later, I am well on the way to a painted beauty. 3 sides under my belt, one to go. Oh and the garage, but who knows when that will happen. Thankfully, I'm well stocked with aspirin and pain killers and a good glass of wine. I need those and I sit on the stoop and admire my hard work.

"ust a bit more to go!" That's all I need to keep telling myself. Check out the before and after success!
